Ari Daniel Ne'eman (pronounced "neh-uh-MAHN"; born December 10th, 1987) is an American autism rights activist who co-founded Autistic Self Advocacy Network in 2006. In December 16th, 2009; the then-president Barack Obama announced that Ne'eman would be appointed to the National Council on Disability. Following the lifting of an anonymous lift he was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate to be serving the Council on June 22nd, 2010. Ne'eman has Asperger Syndrome which makes him the first autistic person to be on the council. In 2015, Ne'eman left the National Council on Disability at the end of his second term. He's currently a consultant for American Civil Liberties Union.
