Chen Si is referred to as the Angel Of Nanjing for saving over 400 people from suicide at the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.

Chen was born in the Chinese city of Suqian, he was raised in poverty and was a high school dropout. Later in his life, he moved to Nanjing in the 90s. In 2000, he saved a woman's life from suicide and since 2003 he saves people on the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge a suicide hotspot similar to the Aokigahara in Japan, where he drives on a Moped to search for people who look depressed, he talks to them or in serve cases when they are already about to commit suicide, he grabs them and pulls them back.
