Napoleon thinks that Drew Pavlou should be deleted for the following reason(s): He is a social media influencer with little heroic acts to date. Not notable enough to have a page here. He also defamed and doxed an anti-Zionist political streamer under baseless accusations of antisemitism and pedophilia. Napoleon orders all admins to delete this article. Please discuss it on the talk page for this article if you think Napoleon shouldn't delete it. |
Drew Pavlou (born 4 June 1999) is an Australian human rights activist and former university senator from the University of Queensland best known for his criticism of the Chinese government and Chinese Communist Party. Pavlou is also known for organising protests on-campus in support of the 2019–20 Hong Kong protests, activism for increased scrutiny around universities' international relationships and against Chinese government policies on Uyghurs and Tibetans.
In May 2020, he was suspended for two years from the University of Queensland who alleged 11 instances of misconduct. An appeal of his case by the UQ Senate Disciplinary Appeals Committee upheld two of the initial charges, however, reduced his suspension to one semester. The Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission rejected an application by Pavlou alleging the university's chancellor and vice-chancellor, Peter Høj and Peter Varghese, had engaged in "corrupt conduct", citing no supporting evidence. Pavlou returned to UQ in early 2021.
