"It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a neighbor, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? Won't you be my neighbor?"
― The theme song to Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

Goldstar

Frederick McFeely “Fred” Rogers, also known as Mr. Rogers (March 20th, 1928 – February 27th, 2003) was an American Presbyterian minister, writer, musician, puppeteer, and television personality from Pennsylvania.

He was well-known for his children’s television series entitled Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, which emphasized kindness and forgiveness. In the show, Rogers taught kids how to be respectful and loving to others, as well as encouraging them to be the best person they could be. The show ran for three decades and left a lasting impact on people all over the world. Not only is he a kind man, but he had the guts to talk to kids about serious topics, like gun violence.

He never smoked nor drank any alcoholic beverages, and was also a vegan. He never used profanity either and was against gambling.

He was always very kind and caring towards children and animals alike. He was never in the military (contrary to rumors) as he was a pacifist. However, he still had friends who were in the military. He was friends with various police officers, firemen, and FBI, CIA, DEA, ATF, and EPA agents as well.

In 2003, he died from stomach cancer.

Mr. Rogers was of English, Scottish and German descent. He was such a good, iconic, and heroic man that the general public holds him in awe and respect.
