Jonas (aka. Joninhas) was a mongrel dog who was remembered in Brazil for saving his owner from a drowning.
About[]
In December 2017, Pedro Higino Marques da Silva went for a ride with Jonas, and doing so he decided to see a river with Jonas. He sat on the rocks, but not with his dog, when he was about to return he slipped and fell back to the sea, and, screaming, Jonas noticed. This was when Jonas went to rescue Pedro, by biting his shoulder and diving back to the rocks.
Pedro came home with Jonas, crying, and told his father, Salvador Marques da Silva, about the incident. The two cried and hugged Jonas, especially Pedro. Jonas is now remembered as a hero in the Higino's family.
