Maxwell Taylor (August 26, 1901- April 19, 1987) was a United States Army Commander who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Maxwell Taylor was born in Missouri on August 26, 1901. He joined the United States Army in 1922. In World War II, he first served in the Italian Campaign with the US 82nd Airborne Division against the Nazi and Italian Forces. He was then assigned to the US 101st Airborne Division where he commanded the Division in Normandy and Operation Market Garden. He also commanded the 101st Airborne in the Battle of Bastogne and called the Battle "The 101st Airborne's Finest Hour." He continued his Military Career in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He passed away on April 19, 1987.
