In July 2017, Rae was unfortunately attacked by a man named Tyler McCorvey, who claimed he wanted to "fight Superman." McCorvey punched Rae in the chest and slammed his head against a car. Witnesses intervened, and McCorvey was arrested shortly after the incident. Despite this traumatic experience, Rae returned to his corner the very next day, continuing to wave and smile at passersby, embodying the resilience and spirit of a true superhero.
