Welcome to the very first Near Pure Good proposal here on the RLH Wiki! Here on this wiki, the whole Pure Good category doesn’t exist because we like to assume that nobody is actually a full Pure Good. Regardless, a fellow admin and I decided we could do Near Pure Good and Inconsistently Admirable proposals for real life heroes who are either close to being Pure Good or just a step above average heroism respectively. Proposals for Near Pure Good and Inconsistently Admirable will be open for three days. Whether or not the hero will be NPG or IA will depend on the majority of votes. Without any further ado, let’s begin!
Who was he?[]
Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth President of the United States of America from 1861 until his assassination in 1865. He was born February 12, 1809 in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He grew up poor in a log cabin. However, with much work and diligence, he eventually won the elections and became POTUS after previously being a lawyer as well as an Illinois state legislator.
What made him Near Pure Good?[]
- He was very honest, thus giving him his infamous alias, “Honest Abe.”
- He was a staunch abolitionist who wrote the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed slaves in the American south.
- He truly believed that a divided country would not stand and wanted to unite the United States.
- He took Savannah, Georgia as a gift after William Tecumseh Sherman burned down Atlanta because he believed it was a very pretty city.
What prevents him from being Pure Good?[]
- Regardless of all of the above, he still approved of Sherman’s March.
Verdict[]
I would say yes but I’ll allow you guys to decide!
